I found myself looking for people with GPS units, last year.If you have one and look like you might know how to use it,

don't be surprised to see me lining up in the parking lot behind you.
Hahahaha... Having a GPS unit is not a factor of knowing how to use it. That's for sure. I've got an older unit & use it more as a running map then anything... or I set it to navigate to a waypoint. I'm real good at that! Not any good at plotting routes by GPS. :( I read & navigate by a map. I'm much better at it then I used to be. I was forever passing turns... & still do it from time to time.

Maybe I'll try Brent's technique this year.

Nice avatar Heidi!jim
Well, thank ya' very kindly sir! I figured it was about time I got an avatar. Do you recognize the road? Probably not, it looks like a lot of roads. That is 133 coming out of Shady Valley towards Damascus, VA. I took it on my way home from EOM-4 in Townsend, TN. This is the road Mr. Ashe likes to go really, really fast on. Oh, that's right... he likes to go fast on ALL of them.

HEY!!!

I do like roads that follow creeks. IMHO no man-made design can top the predictable poetry of nature's curves. I meant roads, really!

:)

Yep, still dont know if the wife will make it or not... If she comes we'll be there.

Sounds interesting, I may be into the slower pace for the a.m to kinda hang with the 'ol wolfpack, meet up for lunch and part the group with higher speeds and longer mileage/hard core twisties in the pm. Tough to decide...maybe I'll just ride out way in front and warm the pack of upcoming hazards.

Thanks Jim and Lori, but (and Heidi will attest to this) I'm not a mountain man (on the motorcycle anyways - not looks)......I'm definitely more comfortable as a superslabber

I'm in there! :)

Seriously!

No, really!!!

Remember, my 10-year old daughter doesn't like more than one hour stretches in the saddle. She asked me last night if the hotel has a pool. I suggested she bring skates.

:)
Dang Jeffro, you going to tow your daughter behind the FJR while she's wearing SKATES?

My wife will be on back and only has a limited amount of time in the saddle so this would be great for us!
