Anybody know if a 1993 Suzuki GS500 like the one pictured below would be worth $1600? The bike has 9000 miles on it but is in mint condition. It has a Corbin seat on it, new chain, new battery. Any former owners of one have a comment? Remember, you can never have enough motorcycles.

Where is this bike located? My friend is dying to pick something up like this. If you don't want it, I know he would.

My question to you would be why?.....the SO want to learn how to ride?....maybe an offspring?.....or just a little something for when old age kicks in? .....

Well, I can't speak for Axe, but my friend only has about $2000 and it would be his first bike. Good starter bike, and cheap to boot!

It's worth whatever someone is willing to give you for it. Prices vary wildly: season, popularity, condition, area, positions of the moon and planets, all figure into the question. Ebay it, put a reserve at the minimum acceptable, and see what happens is the rule of thumb.

Axeman,

Are you selling this bike or thinking about buying it?

I have been looking at bikes like this for my Special Gal!

The bike is on Long Island in NY. I was thinking about picking it up just to fart around town on. The guy claims it is in mint condition so I wanted to get some feedback on it before I drove over there to take a look. He is the original owner. From the stuff I have read, it seems to be pretty bulletproof but if it isn't, I don't want to pick up another project.

Let me know if you don't buy it, I would like to talk to the guy if I could.
