I know that might sound funny, but i got a trip coming up at the end of April and my gf will be with me for part of the trip. Not the whole time, but for a few days and i feel like with her on the back for several days straight it would be safer to have a backrest behind her just in case (she's a mother of two, i just want to err on the side of caution)

I am trustworthy, i once gave someone on this site my perfectly good (and still shiny) stock exhaust when i upgraded to the Two brothers, and i participated in the windshield test and mailed it out two weeks after receiving it. I am a jail guard and a decent guy, if someone will loan me a backrest i promise ill get it back to them as soon as i get back from the trip. I will pay shipping of course, both ways.

If not….. does anyone know where i can find one cheap? As previously stated, the trip isn't till late april early may, but I'm trying to get my budget together right now and the lowest price i found was 200 bucks. Seems kinda steep for a backrest that ill be taking off the bike and probably never use again. I am riding to Cali and doing the coastal route up from San Diego to Seattle, she's going to be with me from los angeles (flying in) and then departing again in Seattle.

Thanks for any help guys. If someone loans me one i will sing at your funeral, but even just pointing towards a cheap one or a used one would suffice.

( i tried searching, but I'm not that computer savvy i guess, i never find sh@t )

….edit, i guess i should note (before someone points it out) my givi case is no longer with me or i wouldn't be in this fix….

Send a pm to Garauld on the board...he has made removeable backrests in the past...he may still. I forget what he prices them at these days...but the guy does excellent work! :clapping:

Or if you don't mind paying zero. . .

What do you have on the tail end of your bike? If you fasten down a small duffel nice and tight, she can lean on that and it'll definitely keep her from sliding off. Plus, you can, you know, put stuff in it.

I have the back rest from a Garauld tray that i am not using. If you have the tray with the 3 holes I will loan the rest to you.

+1 on Garauld's rack and backrest. I love the rack and the missus loves the backrest! I also use it on long trips to tie stuff to!

Dang i don't have that tray. Figures your right there in ga close to me too, shipping would be super cheap. Does that Garauld guy still post here? Wonder how much he would charge me to knock up a tray?
