Anyone camping for NERDs?

Planning on doing the event again this year but I am thinking about camping instead of staying at the hotel. Not so much for the love of camping but to help defray costs since I will be doing the trip solo. I haven't booked either the hotel or a tent site anywhere. Just wondering if anyone else is considering camping and if anyone knows of a decent place close to the Commodores?

Yup, I always camp! We have reservations from the 13th to the 19th at Elmore S.P. our site is Pine It is a lean-to site so It's no big deal if it rains. You are more than welcome to share with us, just pay the extra guest fee. Oh did I mention the awesome lake for swimming and as a bonus this place has no bugs!

Not a problem, looking forward to the company! I was just looking over the campground rules and found this: The basic rates, cover 4 people on a site. Extra people are charged $5 per night per person. Maximum of 8 people per site.

•There is a pet fee of $1 per night per pet.

So you are good to go, since there will only be 3 of us and you make 4. Now if Bustanut shows up he'll have to cough up a extra buck per night

That site does look too smooth. Nothing like our campground with nice soft rocks this spring on the shore of Tickle Naked Lake in VT.

Actually, Amanda came to NERDS last year too, didn't she? I know I've met her. Just can't remember what event it was at.

Yeah, Amanda snores real loud so she's in the dog house Just kidding, thats Hunters tent, he's 11 now, and we've been bringing him along on the last couple of trips. He will be at NERDS, but will want to spend most of his time swimming, and fishing. She missed NERDS, and covered bridges last year (baby-sitter issues) but she was at CFR 10 & 11 thats probably where you met her. That site was like camping on a stone-dust driveway, but it was level and dry!
