Thanks for this Forum and info sharing...sent some PayPal $$$ a month ago to Skyway for Delrin Sliders and was wondering???...now the read here on his problems, so no worries and will patiently wait until it arrives...been there before myself, and nothing like fighting two bears at a time to slow a guy down some...patience and the right moves without other hassles are important now for him.
Gary in Fairbanks
Yeah, Gary, the Delrin is in the shop. This is the machine that is going to be set up to for many repeat-function parts. The Delrin sliders are scheduled to be the first series of parts made on this autofeed lathe/mill. As you have deduced, there is a slight problem with the original plan which should have been in effect 2 weeks ago. Sheesh! If this keeps up, he's going to be spending more time at the shop turning them one-at-a-time.

hey IAN sorry to here about your machine, we that are waiting for farkles will be paitent, I am waiting for a hydration unit, but you just work on getting your machine fixed we wil wait like proffesionals should

Steve

Folks, I'm back and very pleased to announce that the machine IS CRANKING OUT SLIDERS as I type. The last 3 weeks have been a huge PITA for me, which included hunting down the President of the machine tool company to get this deal squared away.

It did involve me going (very politely I should add) 'Skyway on his ***' :D but it got the results I needed to move forward. :yahoo:

So there it is, we're back in business and moving forward. Finally.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.

:clapping: GOOD NEWS!!! :clapping:

You no longer have the "giant sucking sound" at that end of your shop. All of the electromagnetic field is in alignment at Skyway Machine because all machines are now running at capacity, rather than the rest of the shop waiting anxiously for "newbie" to start pulling its ponderous weight......

You decided NOT to elaborate on your discussion with the Pres. of the company???? Pretty funny stuff, "At this point, either get me a technician in my shop tomorrow to help me get this machine working or I'll have a rigging crew in here and truck your machine back to you." (Freight collect, I presume!) Yep... :goinskywaysmilie:

:lol2:
