This afternoon I saw one of the Ridenow dealership trucks (Town & Country in Chandler) trailering an 08 headed toward the dealership...just wondering if the lucky owner is on here. I'ma try to swing by there later to look at it.

On a related note, that same dealership has an '07AE and an '06 ST1300ABS (new, which I thought were impossible to find) sitting side by side on their showroom floor. Having ridden the ST1300, but not the FJR yet, I've been trying to decide which one I like better. After sitting on both, it's quite obvious how much heavier the ST is. Now I'm leaning heavily towards the FJR...renting one this weekend...so we'll see.

Normally, new owners "charge" people to gawk at their bikes! :yahoo:

Actually sitting on them......prohibitively expensive! <_<

I saw a rental FJR North of Thunderbird on Cave Creek Rd, That the place or are there others in the Valley ?
Yup...az sportbike rentals...it's the only one I know of. Rented their ST1300 a few months ago. I've also rented from AZRide.com in Scottsdale, a 1200RT and a Concours 14.

let me know if you get a good deal. I might be willing to come up ftom Tucson. I am not all that impressed with "ride now". Down here they don't have Yamaha.

Greg

As a general rule, RideNow sucks moist ass cheese. You will NOT get a good deal from those phuckers.

Apache Yamaha, where FJRTom and his friend recently picked up their 08 FJRs is not part of their criminal enterprise. They seemed to have gotten ok deals. I bought my 04 FJR in Deming, NM. Got a great price and great customer service to go with it. You might look at the dealer down in Sierra Vista, I belive it was. One of our forum members had glowing things to say about them.

What about the various Tucson Yamaha dealers?

LOL...you're being nice!

The last couple of bikes I've bought, I've given Ridenow a chance to earn the business, but they absolutely wouldn't budge off MSRP. Oh well, their loss. But I have no reservations about walking around their showrooms, sitting on bikes etc. :p

Hi Guys,

I rented that 05 FJR from AZ Sport Bikes on Cave Creek and it was awesome! I ride a Harley Night Rod which is no slouch but that FJR was a rocket , cruising at 90 felt very comfortable and the bike felt very secure and handled great going up to Yarnell. The only problem is the 08's are black and I don't want a black bike. Does any one know of any dealers that still have any 07's ? :)

Hey kpfetz...I rented the same bike, except I currently ride a 'Wing, I went down Yarnell Hill, and I like black! Sounds like one of those parallel universe things :p .

Anyway, I'm in the market for an '08. If you like the auto clutch version, there's one at Ridenow in Chandler and N. PHX. Also Four Seasons Motorsports in Rye has an '07 AE. I bought an ATV from them this year, hassle free buying experience, with the best OTD price in this part of the country. They're not as big into street bike sales, but I've asked them to look into getting me an '08, hope to hear back soon. If not, I don't mind going out of state.

Wait a minute according to Arizona Sportbike Rental the Honda ST is faster than the FJR. Could it be that they de-tune their Yamaha inventory?

Honda ST1300

145 BHP

54.2 Lbs Torque

618 Lbs wet

11.26 Quarter Mile

0 to 60 Mph 3.1 seconds

Yamaha FJR1300

152 BHP

90.1 Lbs Torque

575 Lbs wet

11.76 Quarter Mile

0 to 60 Mph 3.6 seconds

I was at RideNow (Town and Country in Chandler) on Friday (Dec 14th). All I saw on the showroom

floor was one Silver FJR 07' AE...(and a Black 06' Honda ST). Sitting next to each other. I sat on them

both and was immediately glad I went for the FJR. I looked at them both from behind and was really

glad I didn't go for the ST. Can you say "Skoot-ish"?

Actually I think that may have been mine! I was out of town when it came in, but they called the day you posted this. I wasn't able to pick it up until earlier this week but it's mine now!

Actually a buddy of mine is picking up that '07 AE I think. Both he and I were offered pretty decent deals on them to be honest. You just have to be a bit of a negotiator I guess?

On a side note, when I picked up mine someone had just traded a blue '07 with 23k on the clock. Honestly the cleanest 23k bike I have ever seen. If anyone is looking for a used one I'm guessing that's about as nice a used one you'll find.

Hey, right on man! When I called T&C on Monday they said they had one in and the guy was going to pick it up that evening.

Hopefully see you on the road!
