I know this is a long shot but them are the ones worth taking. ;)

My boyfriend and I applied for our passports on March 26 (me) and 27th (him) with expedited service for our upcoming vacation in Mexico. I received mine from Houston last week, exactly 3 weeks after applying. His is not here. Upon further investigation, the passport website says they have not received his app. So he called the Post Office he submitted it to. They have confirmation it was received in LA. (ok - yeah, why the hell it went there, who knows! ) So then he emailed the Dept of State and received a reply stating what we already knew, his app hasn't been received. Its now been 4 weeks and expedited service is supposed to be taking 2 weeks. He called the company that he got the money order from, it hasn't been cashed. So his birth certificate, money order and app are MIA!

Trying to get through on the phone line is gonna take an act of God. :dribble: Does anyone know what time they open up the phone lines and actually answer calls?? Can anyone here help me at all?

I already know we are gonna have to start over, but I'm just taking a chance that someone here can help me out, since there are alot of Californians on here. If anyone knows something and doesn't wanna post it, please PM me!!

TIA!

Damm girl. You get this fixed?? It has been long enough now,,,,, and I cannot remember your name, so you owe ME a drink at WFO (I hit your profile reading your comment on the WFO area) :p

Well what can I say. He's now the ex-boyfriend and yeah he got his passport about a week after I posted this. The local post office finally assured us that LA could not have lost it because they lock up everything until they work on them. They were just backed up. The Dept. of State is now allowing refunds on expedition fees because it took longer than a month. So, yes, we made it to Cozumel.

Can't say it enough. Get a passport way before you need it. Saves you money and headaches. We're all gonna need one eventually anyways.

Why do I hear Paul Harvey? "And now, for the rest of the story."
