Was at a local dealer today who had an 08 tagged for 11500. I think it is the same one they wanted 14k for last year when I was looking for mine.

That's in Northern Virginia.

I'm looking for a dealer the might have a new 08 A model. Maybe a very low mile used might do too.

I think that Obermeyer Yamaha in Jasper , Indiana still has a very low mile "08" or "09" . Not sure what year it is but it's black. It was the owners bike before he got a new V-max. Their number is (812) 634-6686 or toll free (866) 926-2426.

Hope this helps

Don't know of any new or low-mileage '08's around, but the last time I was at Rich's Yamaha in Lockport, they had a new '09 on the floor. That was a few weeks ago.

A friend STOLE a new '08 AE from the tiny dealer in Port Washington, Wi. Might want to call them, the price was rediculous !

here is one I am interested in, but I have no objection if you jump ahead of me and grab it.

I live in Dekalb (adjoining city) and have taken my car's to Bemis Dealerships for warranty work (and only warranty work). Just so you know, they are not a Yamaha dealer. And Bemis Motorsports is only about a year old, with mostly scooters for product. If you do buy from them, do your homework on the bike. Ask as many questions as possible, what it comes with, etc. They very likely aren't going to know anything about it and you may be able to use that to your advantage in haggling. If they let you take it to a mechanic (long shot I know) contact Jason at OpenAir Powersports in Sycamore. Jason was the lead service guy at the Yamaha shop in Dekalb that closed down last year. Really knows his stuff. Even though OpenAir isn't a Yamaha shop either (here's hoping they become one) I still take my FJR there for him to work on, since he has the knowledge and they treat me right.

If you do buy it, give me a shout. I'm only about 10 minutes away from there.

check ebay,

i just bought an 08 off there in ga, just becarefull. yamaha is doing dealer auctions, in those actions are some scratch n dents that dealers have rejected over time. now yamaha is unloading all those bikes. i am pretty sure mine was one of those bikes. i got it for less then dealer cost of a new one, i was told it was new but when i got there to pick it up i found a flaw in it. minor tht it was thats not what i was told when i bought the bike, so i was pissed. end result (that i am sure the dealer figured out too), it was still a great buy, i could replace the part and still be way below dealer cost. so ya my mad ass road it home, stopping in nashville to put in race tech front end and now have an olhins for the back (because of remote preload penski doesnt have). got 2k on it and have had it about 3 weeks. electric shift is the bomb!!!

there is one on ebay that i am thinking of, no reserve and it was at 8100 last night, there are others too so check it out. just plan on flying in to get it and ride that joker home, after all its a turning bike ;-)....
