Lust Racing sells a couple of option lengths for lowering links....If you have a lowering link on your FJR, how are they working out?

Welcome to the forum FJRat. Let's see if we can help you. I should add that before you post a general info request like this one, which by the way has indeed been discussed here many times before, do a Google search for the subject like this:

site:fjrforum.com lowering links

You'll come up with gobs of info on the subject including the following helpful thread: CLICKY HERE

Beware that if you lower the rear end, you'll probably need to shorten the sidestand, and the bike will be harder to get up on the center stand... as I assume you will not want to go to the trouble to shorten that as well. In that case, an easy fix for bikes with lowered rear suspension would be to just ride the bike up on some wood blocks to raise the bike a little before putting down the center stand.

I put the Kooba (sp?) links on mine - all of what Gary said applies (I didn't change the side stand, but probably should have).

I'm considering going back to stock, since the links don't provide that much lowering.

I gave up the lowering link idea, why?:

Because the center stand blocks the bolt that has to come out. So now I would have to figure out a way to lift the bike. I would try it if it was simple as in my other bike so that if I don't like it I can take it off in 10min.

I don't want to bend nor cut my stand...there is no one that makes a shortened stand...I don't deal with Soupy...their stuff is low end.

So far I have lowered 3 bikes and I only liked what it did to one...others, I took the link off.

I was thinking of the LustRacing which makes a very conservative 15mm link.

So I am gonna review the seat makers again. I have gone that route before I tried Rrussels, Sargent, Corbin and another of those popular seat makers...all the "low seat" models I tried were hard and uncomfortable as hek...

The more bikes I own the more I lean toward leaving them stock.
