Im wondering if that green tire slime product is for motorcycles like FJR's?

And if left in the tire would seal the flat as you ride? Like seal flat protection on demand?

If you plug the tire how long would the plug last in a FJR?

I gess what im asking is advice on the best method of motorcycle flat repair?

If you do a search using Google 'what you want to know site:fjrforum.com" you will find that your questions have been discussed many, many times.

Whoever changes your tire after you use the slime gunk will hunt you down and feed you and your family to the sharks, wolves, hyenas, lions, or whatever they have hanging around. After they beat you about the face and head for a while.

That stuff is nasty inside there. Fix your flat with sticky string plugs. Unless the sidewall is punctured, then get a new tire.

I just put some in my 08 with 800miles on the tires. I had a tiny pin size leak in the rear. It has dropped about 1/2lb in a week. Im getting ready to do about a 2500mile trip so I will probably just replace the dam thing. It couldnt happen to a tire that was shot.

I'll shoot your tire if you want.

You slimed it for half a pound a week? Seriously? I don't even think a tire is leaking until it loses a five pounds overnight.

There was this time I was out of sticky strings and didn't seem to find time to get to Walmart. Rode on a screw in the tire for a week. Lost a couple pounds every day. I have air at home and at work, and a compressor on the bike, so i just topped it up before heading out.

Update for everyone.

I found the info in past post search.

It seems Slime or any other product like it should not be used in any motorcycle that go's past 50MPH.

And it seems Plugs are not as good as sticky string.

So Sticky String type plugs are what I will put in my on board kit.

Now lets Ride.
