I'm a new member as of Feb 3rd. I joined and asked a question on the dia of the oil plug crush washer and I did it both with an attitude. I want to give an apology to all who responded so kindly and for members who had to read my snide request.

I was so frustrated in that the dealer and the manufacturer gives you little information about such. So I went to the Internet and found little informaiton there. Now a little question became frustrating. Then I had trouble getting logged on as a member to FJR (because I was mad of course). But my frustration is not a reaon to take it out on you people; the helpful ones. And, will I didn't rant, rave and cuss, I had an attitude that was uncalled for.

I just got the new FJR Feb 1st but ironically, I had found FJRs on the Internet while trying to figure out which side of the crush washer to put towards the engine on a Honda Accord car a few months ago. And, as with the diameter of a FJR crush washer question, which side goes which way is not answered anywhere I could find except here. Everyone in the country tells you to use one but no one told you which side goes whch way. And as someone pointed out, it probably doens't make all that much difference but there is a right and wrong way to do it and I was curious which was which. I just underestimated how hard that really way.

I know as a new member that we are a pain just being a new member. We ask the same questions you have answered again and again. But your help is very helpful to us. I have read many, many posts on this forum. They were interesting and helpful. I may not need them but many I know I will down the line.

Please bear with us newbies and us with an attitude. Thanks to all for all your good work and helpful advice.

Uh oh!

I made the mistake of apologizing for my forum behavior once, never again!

All I saw was "aching man-gina" jokes for days!!!

:)

It's all good. Besides, I never read your post anyway.

:)

Just kidding, John.... welcome to the FJRForum Madness.

I know *exactly* what you mean about trying to get accurate info out of a manufacturer, be it Yamaha or any other. Sometimes you strike gold; other times, it seems you can't find diddley on the subject.

But now you are a member of the largest, most active and knowledgeable FJR forum on the planet, and there is NO issue that we can't get to the bottom of, be it mechanical or procedural.

I know as a new member that we are a pain just being a new member.
N00bs aren't always treated with kid gloves here, but it quickly identifies the asshats from the players, and one could even consider it a "rite of passage", if you will. Some don't mesh well with this, but as long as you don't take yourself too seriously, you'll be one of the boyz in no time.

Spend a little time in FJRTech.com and the many other sites listed here, and you'll be amazed at the tid-bits of information gold you'll find.

Welcome aboard. Now go eat some Pamprin.....

Nobody sees anybody's warnometer except yerself100. That's a way the admins can pull us misfits aside without yelling "hey class! Look at this SOB..." before saying what they need to say.
