I'm always amused at Daytona.

Clamp down on the straps with the HD on the kickstand, metal fatigue and fall down go boom. Dealer must sell a hundred.

Unloading on a board that's been laying behind the shed for years, splinters when the back tire hits it.

Their buddies can't help because they all have a beer in their hand.

Like someone said about the sharp angle at the tailgate, dude you may want to think about that...

Then I suggest going to the post office off Main, back up to the loading dock and then drive down the ramp.

It’s pretty simple. Reduce the ramp to pick up bed angel by finding a low spot for the rear pickup tires and use a good quality wide ramp that has straps to prevent it from kicking out. It isn’t rocket surgery here.

Thanks! Watching idots (and not myself) crash always brightens my day!

Having had a long, low chopper, I know exactly what happened to the guy with the triple wide ramp. At the apex, the frame of the bike caught an edge on the ramp as it bottomed out. You can see the ramp move forward when it hits. At that point, his weight on the bike is not helping and loss of forward momentum results in the predictable tip over.

Abercrombie pretty much nailed it. I always look for a neighbor with a stub wall, (higher lot on the uphill side), or a loading ramp/dock somewhere if I need to get a bike into a truck for some reason, (usually when selling it to a guy that brings a truck, instead of gear to ride it home).

In the beginning I thought trailering was OK. I did not know any better. My friends all did it so I thought it was allright.

Then I joined the forum. Here I learned that trailers and motorcycles don't mix. It took a while but now I am much happier. Now I actually ride my motorcycle where I want to go. The forum has taken motorcycle trailers out of my life. It can do the same for you.
