I like how the guy doesn't even give the bike room to pass.

Should I forward this to my (Harley riding) family or not? Damn you uctofeej.

Why not? I already sent it to mine.

And we can just blame the confluence of said HD rider, the bike race, and killboy all in one spot at the same time.

I was riding down rout 7 in Cornwall CT the other day and saw a Toyota Prius just ahead where the realy fun twisties start in that area next to the river.

So I pulled over and waited untill some more cars came up behind me. I was able to wait for a wile and let the Prius get a good lead before I headed down through the river side twisties.

Down the road, after a bunch of nice turns next to the river with no one in my way, up ahead I saw the back of the Prius going slow. I thought, F****** Prius is holing up traffic and spoiling my favorite fun part of the road in Cornwall

But no, wait, it was a pack of Harley's' holding up the Prius.

Soon they all got to experience the power of the FJR side of the Force. B)

Feejer over took the Prius and about ten 900 pounders on one blast of third gear. :yahoo:

1,400 Pounders with all the lard aboard.

I was just looking at Killboy's photograph again - and I noticed that you can see the spokes on both the bicycle and the Hardley. I'm surprised that the bicycle spokes are in focus (not so much the Harley - because his wheels are no doubt turning that much more slowly).

... and for what it's worth - the lady riding pillion looks pretty!

If you look carefully in the background you can see a tree trunk in the woods. It indicates that they are actually going down hill, not up hill.

Alot of guys in my off road 4X4 club take pictures like that to make the tucks appear to be climbing at a steeper angle than in reality. B)

Yeah, that was my first reaction too. Here is the same picture with the gamma raised so you can see the woods, and the picture rotated till the trees are (back to) vertical. Not nearly as impressive looking, eh? Gee, you don't suppose that KillBoy intentionally darkened that picture in an attempt to disguise that the camera (or shot) was rotated, do you?

I doubt it, he often has pics at various angles.

One of the comments with this pic mentioned the bikes (it was a race passing through) were going 50+ mph downhill and were maneuvering much easier than the big bikes. I'm sure they were passing quite a few that day, regardless of brand. This particular pic just looked funny.

It also looks like the Harley has his foot on the rear brake. He may have been worried about all the bicycles coming coming down the hill if there were a bunch of them in his front and rear.

But those 1,400 pounders are often holding up traffic on the weekends in north west CT.

Worried, perhaps, but he sure wasn't giving them any extra lane to work with...

We have hit 60mph going down Ochs Hwy in Chattanooga on our bikes......heck, when you are at the top waiting to go, you need to count to 15 after a car passes because if you take off right after it, they will slow you down going through all the curves near the bottom.

Same thing with the pass throught the Smokies that runs over Cherokee NC. You can get a good train going there and cruise at 40+mph if there arent any cars in your way.

Either way, its a great pic...surprised that the THP wasnt there to write the guy a ticket for speeding and passing illegally. :)
