OK- so I wrote a lengthy report on my adventures and then promptly erased them before I saved. Out of pure frustration, here is a shorter post with some pics and a link to a map of our entire route. The pics are in chronological order based on our route. Awesome roads, good times.

Dude, I hope you used a tripod for this one, 'cause it seems it would've been awfully humbling giving your camera to

a bystander and then climbing up on a giant rabbit.

I think it went something like this, "Excuse me Mam. Would you mind taking a picture of me mounting this large Jackelope? I'm going to approach it from the rear so please stand back a bit." :(

Nice report. It seems that that the work is going very very slowly at lazy horse. It was that way when I was there several years ago.

Did you stay for the show that is shown in the evenning at Mt. Rushmore?

We didn't. We were just passing through for the day. To be honest the crowds/traffic really had us wanting to get moving. Plus, we have a laser show at Stone Mountain here in GA and Rushmore reminded me of a larger version

I hear ya. When I looked at the proposed finished model of the monument, I was shocked at how much work was still needed. I'll bet the crew that cuts my lawn could finish it in a weekend ;)

good report on your trip.

see you did a zig zag in Idaho; hope it added to the trip.
Just running from the rain. It caught me! Other than the rain, Idaho was great. I'm goint back next year to ride 21 and 24. Cool roads but too wet to rip
