It always amazes me how industrious the asshats can be sometimes. Around here there was a scam where they would glue a card reader directly over the ATM slot that would also have a pinhole camera in it that would read the pin number as it was being punched in. They would place the reader over the slot in the early evening and retrieve it the next day and then download the card info and the pin numbers and they were off to the races....

On a similar note, today I was reading that electronic credit cards (think Mobil Speedpass) can be read by a perp carrying a device that can read the radio frequency coming off the card.

What 'The Ax Man' says, I heard is true. Your car alarm can be recorded and used on your car by playback. I haven't seen the Mobile cards your talking about. TJ

I think my bank limits ATM withdrawl to $200 a day. $4000 Carumba! :dribble: Keep your PIN Private.

When I first got my ATM card on my commercial account it had NO limit (years ago). I had to convince the teller/as.mgr to reduce the limit to 3 bills a day. Sometimes I regret having such a low limit (traveling), but most times it might even be considered too high.

If you don't know your ATM limit, or don't HAVE a limit, time to reconsider your card.

Thanks for the heads-up, PonyFool!
