Attention users of Paypal. I just found out about 10 minutes ago that my Paypal account will only accept money sent from a bank/checking account... not a credit or debit card. Please make plans for payment accordingly. If your bank account isn't linked I'd be glad to accept a check/money order. PM me for my address, please.

Really really sorry for any inconvenience,

Heidi

Why was it that I wanted to send you money?

You CAN accept credit cards if you upgrade your account.

I see this & thanks for pointing it out. I see no need to upgrade. Upgrading costs money, right? Except for this EOM transaction stuff I don't use Paypal enough to justify paying for the extra service. This is the most action my account has seen since I started using it & I've had it several years.

So, do you want any t-shirts? Please send me moolah via a check/money order (US buckers) or Paypal linked to a checking account.

Sorry for any inconvenience,

Heidi

Actually, I don't think it costs you a fee or anything to upgrade. From memory when I upgraded to a "Premier Account" for WFO to accept credit cards on banquet payment it meant I got a different amount taken off the top of each payment depending if they paid from the checking account or if they paid by credit card.

I can't remember the exact rates and terms, but here's my experience:

$85.00 would have $2.77 subtracted normally if the payer did it from checking or other non-credit source. If they paid by credit card $3.62 was subtracted.

For the convenience I just factored this in and didn't make a big deal about it with all the WFO folks.....like I didn't make a big deal with our Canadian friends. They charged an extra 50 cents or so for currency conversion. There were also a few times that less than $2.77 was taken out...and I'm not exactly sure why.

PayPal does skim a healthy profit....but they are very convenient. I hated processing the dozen checks I got.

Thanks Ignacio, I've only had a problem accepting fr/ 1 person.I assumed it was going to cost me something to upgrade. If it's that much of a problem I will definitely do so, though.

The original text in this message was supposed to be in the "t-shirt" thread... which I copied it to. Can I request that you delete or close this thread?
