Rudy and I are heading up to the 2008 BMW 49'er Rally at the Auburn Fairgrounds again on May 23-26. Besides a couple hundred Beemers of all year models and types, there have been 8 or 10 FJR's mixed in with a number of other makes and models at this rally as well.
One of the highlights of this event for me is the Fast Fridays Flat Track races that are held at the Fairgrounds! Watching ALL the competitors including the half pints, is really entertaining. Those Czech made, ether burning engines look really fun and are plenty loud. I think I'll leave that kind of racing to the youngsters however! :blink:
Another highlight is the ride up 41 to Oakhurst and 49 up to Auburn. It's All 2 lane from Morro Bay! Also, looking forward to the 2 nights camping and the Saturday night tri-tip BBQ. :dribble:
Hey Ex Ski or Bugnatr, you guys going to be around in Auburn/Grass Valley over Memorial Day weekend? Any body else from this list?
