Audi R8 in Ojai

I went to Bill mayer this morning for an adjustment in my seat, I let there about 10am and was heading towards home I passed the gas station at the junction of 150 and 33 and there in the station getting gas was an Audi R8 (not available in US yet) a porsche 911 turbo and and Aston martin DB9.

I just about twisted my head off as i drove past then decided i had to go back and take a look. So I pull into the gas station and parked on the sidewalk right beside the Aud, as i did this about 5 guys start to walk over to the car as if to protect it, the good thing was that these guys all worked for Car and driver magazine and I happen to know one of the editors and he was the first to arrive on the scene ( didn't know me with my helmet on).

So we had a nice chat for about 10 minutes, he said that the Audi is the best handleing mid-engined car he has ever driven.

They then proceded to haul *** up 33 for sone testing time.

Are you kidding, being an englishman i love Astons but I can see them all day long. Will be a long time before I see an R8 again.

Those Car and Driver guys are *******s! I hate them! They usually do 33 and then head to Buttonwillow or Willow Springs then double back to 58 and back south. Fuckers. Won't even let a 35 year subscriber behind the wheel. Rot in hell!

One of my partners just bought an Aston Martin DB9....black with a black top and brown interior. One of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. With a few extras he had added....built-in radar detector, etc.......the thing cost him about $203,000. I've got a Subaru Forester, highly modified for SOLO II racing, that will outrun him in the quarter mile. Burns his ***. I told him not to be pissed off, that I would trade with him.

Sad, but true. I pulled up in the DB9 to the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island the other day and two stunning ladies took to swirling all around the car...just cooing and carrying on. I was in the DB9 as my partner had my Subaru out for the day.... he wanted to spend some time in a really fast car.
