Audiovox CCS-100 Canister?? (what is this thing?)

This came with the audiovox CCS100 I bought second hand (new, uninstalled).  This part is not in the installation manual anywhere.   

Is this just a secondary canister that I have seen other people create from a PVC/ABS?  Another pic here: Canister Top View

Any help appreciated.

It’s a vacuum store. Supplies a steady vacuum to the Audiovox actuator between vacuum pulses from the inlet manifold. Vacuum pipe from the manifold feeds into the canister through a non-return valve, then a pipe feeds out of the canister to the actuator.

Yes. If you suck from the "MAN" port, you will pull air through, blow and you won't. Connect "MAN" to the manifold, "AMP" to the actuator.
