Audiovox CCS100 on AE?

Has anyone installed an Audiovox CCS100 cruise control on the AE? Is there anything tricky about it? I am just asking before I get / install it early next week.

Haven't done it either, but plan on installing mine next week, too... if I get the bike....

I put one on my '04, so I'm ready to jump in!

I think getting to the throttle tang is a bit tougher. And the harnesses may be a bit different. Can't be THAT much tougher. (I shouldn't have said THAT, should I?)

Have multimeter, will travel!

I think I am with you on that! I just found a website with instructions on installing a CC100 on an FJR1300 and it is more work than I am willing to attempt.

Where does one find a "professional / expert" installer for one of these things!!!??

I'm an expert, but not at installing cruise controls. It is quite an undertaking, but it's really not that bad once you've done one.

Where are you guys located, somewhere in Cali (TD)? Texas ? If you need help, might be good to know your 20.

I was trying to get Smitty to buy a CCS-100 so he and I could install ours at the same time in his great shop. That would be fun. After that, I'm sure he'd be willing to install them for you. At a price, of course. Even for an '06, even though he has an OH FIVE.

I'll try to take pics and post them of my install. Perhaps I can post up the differences of the install on the '06.

I was pretty sure that someone had already taken the leap. I know I'm going to do it really soon, though. Have to put on Magnum Blasters and a fuse block, too. So it's going to be really busy around my house before WFO. Call me Da Farklenator. Ya! :assassin:

I am in Bryan / College Station Texas (100 miles North of Houston) but I will travel! If anyone can recommend someone / shop that can do it with confidence, I am willing to travel.

I've read through the instructions. They seem pretty straight forward. I'd be more than happy to learn...install it one your bikes
