My husbands auxillary plug blew the fuse on a ride and he needs to know where it is located and what size fuse it takes.
Oh oh. I put in a ten amp fuse after it blew when I hooked up my air compressor. Should I find another power source??And if he has anything more than a cell phone or radar detector plugged in, it'll likely blow again. DO NOT put in a larger fuse, the wiring for it is weak at best.
I say, HELL YES!!!!!Oh oh. I put in a ten amp fuse after it blew when I hooked up my air compressor. No problem, I've got a Blue Seas, I'll just connect a powerlet connector it that. Thanks for the heads up. Another project!!Like John T said, ABSOLUTELY find another source.
Most run a fuse block of some type connected directly to the battery and triggered by a relay.
Other sources are the factory heated grip wires which aren't used on your A, but are used on an AE. But, truth be told, if you are going to run electrical farkles, fun a fuse panel. Do a search of "fuze site:fjrforum.com" in Google, and you will get several threads on one type of fuse panel. I have the Blue Seas, but if I had it to do over again, I'd go with the Fuze Block
I got a variety pack at Kragen auto for like 4 bucks. Not sure if you have Kragens in Florida.I have yet to find a place that carries a 3 amp mini fuse...not even my dealer. 5 amps are common. Any suggestions?
