avcc on 08ae abs problem

as per fjrcarshopguys instructions. we hooked up the the avcc brake wires to the tail light harness as discribed. ground from the avcc to the seat latch nut and ground from the handle bar control of the avcc unit to the bolt that hold the brake lines up on the steering stem. power is pulled from the 3 amp fuse for the lighter in the glove box. everything is as per instructions as far as i can tell.

Maybe it should be obvious, but grounding to the frame ( twice ) is a big no-no.
When powered "on" the CC is providing 12V power to the brake lights through a ground loop.
Ground for the CC should be direct to the battery.

ok dont know if this will fix the avcc or not, its late and i have not hooked it back up yet but i can tell you.......
that if you have an open circut in the brake wiring that the abs light on the dash will flash and the brake lights will stay on.
how does that relate to the avcc install....
my bro says as we are hooking up the the red and purple wires to the brake wires....
"hey only take one of those wires out of the conncetor block at a time. that way you will put them back in the same spot."
being the good brother and knowing he aint stupid, i did as told.
blue wire was in the corner, np
they yellow wire was in the center of the six pin connector, across from the empty slot......
ya i put it back in the wrong empty slot.
i say this just because there seems to be no other place in this forum that refers to abs on these bike and i seem to be the only one who has had trouble with it. must be that the abs system is good on these bikes.
