Average MPG indicator

Today I was showing 47.2 mpg with shield up at about 60mph. Has any body checked if these computer readings are accurate? My guess is that they are optimistic like the speedo, though its just a guess. I could check it myself and will if nobody else hasn't done it already.

60 mph is the key here. Seems like 47 mpg is doable. Course, I got 52 mpg going 80 mph at 6 - 8,000' elevation.

On my OhFive I've been known to log 50mpg...so your reading of 47 is very realistic IMO.

Miles measurement is pretty accurate on my 06. Avg mpg is spot on versus my hand calculations.

I just got home from Alabama a few hours ago (separate post soon). On one tankfull where I ran between 65 and 75 most of the tankful, with a few bursts of acceleration well over 100mph, I showed an average tankful at 47.1mpg. I was so impressed that I got home tonight and calculated to check the accuracy myself. It was an actual 46.9
