Avon tires to order

Did some extensive internet searching and also came across the SWMoto site not recommending the front Avons. Did come across motorcycleproshop.com with pretty decent prices. $94 front, $129 rear, $9 each for shipping = $241 delivered. Any good/bad reports on these guys and are these prices OK? Can't remember what we paid in Toe's group buy.

Funny you should ask. Yoo might want to check the other threads on Avons not being recommended for the Feej, although that's what I run.

I put on a set of Avon Storms on my FJ a month ago and after 1000 miles and just barely a "chicken strip" visible, I can tell you that I love them. They took a little getting used to at first. That "reactive footprint technology" they incorporate into the tires make the bike very nimble in turns and (at least in my case) makes the bike feel like it wants to pull towards the inside of the turn. After a couple days, I go used to them. I've read about folks experiencing front-end wobble supposedly caused by these tires and abnormal wear caused by cupping. I've not seen or experienced any of this.
