Left around 4:20am this morning. Made it safe and sound, and the Wing did fine. Left home Wed. and racked up 3400 miles. I would like to thank all who worked and put this event together. It was so nice to see my other family.

Thanks again guys and gals for this get together!! :yahoo: Smitty

GW in a FJR colony???? :D
Not to be confused with leper colony. Bikes come and go but friendships, hopefully, remain. Smitty has gone through 3 or 4 FJR's and I totaled mine back in May and will most likely get a different one this time around but the guys and gals here are still the same.

Smitty it was good to meet you for lunch here in KC and will hopefully see you in September. Just have to figure out what to get to hang with you. I'm afraid that my KLR doesn't have what it takes to stay with you. Now, what is a suitable FJR replacement? KTM 990 Adventurer, Gold Wing, BMW 1200 GSA, ? Or maybe a new fishing pond on my farm and keep using the KLR. Regardless, I am going to wait until next spring. I already have trips planned for the KLR for this year and the summer is half over.

Smitty -

Great to see you again, I actually giggled when you made the wing leave an *acceleration* ****** on the tarmac!

Good to hear you made it home safe and sound.

Yer bud, dcarver

Thanks for riding with me Smitty and leading the way back to the NAFO HQ through the rain...

So Smitty.........we've moved on from the KTM to a Goldwing?

The dead bird jumped off in the NAFO parking lot. He/she road along for over 1500 smiles.

Yes the KTM is gone, but it was a great mount. Just needed something a little more two-up friendly. Wish I could have both, but $30,000. in bikes is a bit more than I can afford. Smitty

Thanks Mark for leading most of Saturday. It is nice just following and not thinking about the next turn. I kinda like riding in the rain, but it did get a little chilly. Smitty
