I live in oceanside and was thinking about a day run.meeting at the hideout,near lake henshaw around 9 am.its cool under the oaks,and none of the chopper crowd is up yet.( i know cause when i ride my other bike i never leave before noon ) 
we could talk about which roads to choose.There are a lot of them.a couple of weeks ago some friends and my self headed out to borrego and back through 79 north.The road is repaved in a lot of areas and in real good shape..happy fjr'n
