Saw one today.

The Troopers are running stealth Dodge Chargers and Ford Explorers.

I already new they were using undercover Explorers, mostly for DOT I think, but today I saw a Charger, No light bar, lights in the glass with Trooper markings on the side.

Just giving you another set of headlight profiles to watch for.

Just thinking out loud. I wonder how the Cop Charger Package compares to the Cop Mustang Package they used in the late 80s?

Thanks for the heads up. I find that as I get older it's easier to keep it down to only 5-7 over the limit. :blink: :lol:

My department got 11 of them with the V6. They suck total balls, except that the unmarked/slick tops are traffic killers.

Some of the local PD's around here got the (correct) Hemi package, and swear they will not be going back to Crown Vics.

Agree on all fronts. I have an unmarked V-6 because I work in detectives. About the only thing I could catch with it is a cold. However, our Patrol Division recently bought 52 of the Hemis and those things haul ***. Amazingly fast and effective for a patrol car.

 
There's an unmarked Chrysler minivan around Lake Buena Vista (Disney) on I-4 in Orlando - that is so unfair....

 
Here in Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento, CA) I often see a metallic tan colored F150 Ford long bed P/U with a camper shell with NO lettering at all. Lights in the rear window of the camper shell, small red and blue. Front has a couple red lights in the grill of the pickup. Usually seen during the commute hour(s). He especially likes nailing cars in the HOV lane with less than the required (2) people on board.

I've also seen a full sized Buick, unmarked except for tail lights that flash alternatively and lights in the grill. Concealed antennas. My son has a Buick and and a "mag" red light he can plop somewhere. But he's FBI so he doesn't count.

I've seen Corvettes and a Dodge Charger. CHP regularly runs white Camaros and Crown Vic's with just side insignia, primarily for DOT. However, they knock the 4 wheelers dead a lot of the time.

Me, I'm always on my best behavior so it's not a problem for me. :rolleyes: Yeah, right. :dribble:

We are seeing alot of the chargers here in Ga as well. Local GSP post has 2 of them, but they are pretty obvious with the uber-crash bars and relefctive orange GSP lettering on the sides. However, at night, you wouldn't know it from a civi charger.

Local LEO's are getting them as well. All of them have been V6's so far though. I have yet to see the Hemi package slick tops in this area.

Minnesota puts drug seizure rides to work-a little of everything is nailing guys these days. At least there aren't very many of them that were stock when taken. Can't imagine this would be very stealthy.........
