I'm hoping to make this same trip starting 9/3 on my '06 AE. Taking a more direct (A to B) route from Monroe, Wa to Banff via Washington's Hwy 20, Kettle Falls and either Canadian Hwy 6 or Canadian Hwy 31 in Kokanee/Glacier Nat'l park.

Check out my proposed route - tell me where I may want to change my route :)

...looks like I may miss AlloverRover by a day (reach Banff on Sunday), yet I will be following the same path relatively speaking, with a few side road trips thanks to Barb's advice -- and my need to do things differently.

Great ride. Great road. Note that it has been known to snow up that way. I once got snowed on while camping near the Columbia Icefield....in the middle of August.

Well, crappola! Looks like my planned trip is not going to happen. Between working and weather, it looks like I will visit Banff next year.

I am going to take 2-3 days off starting next Tuesday to run around the Olympic Peninsula. Oh, well, better than nothing, I guess.
