I was out at Mosport for the Canadian Superbike racing and did a lot of chatting with like minded riders. They mentioned some farkles I hadn't considered and don't believe I've read about here.

The first was Manicsalamander bar ends. They were on an 06 FJR and he claimed they made it significantly smoother.

The second was Dynabeads for tire balancing.

The guy who ranted about them was riding a well worn BMW K100RS. He claimed they increase tire life by 50% and the smoothed the ride at elevated speeds. The web site claimed they eliminate the need for dynamic tire balancng and weights.

Anybody have any experience with either of these?

Hard to believe that if they are that great then why haven't they been the buzz of the forum.

OK I just noticed that the salamanders were discussed back in March, How did I miss that?

I had never even heard of such a thing as bead balancing before tonight. So I searched the archives, since I'm getting a new PR2 installed tomorrow..... or maybe I'll hold-off for another couple of days.

I PMed Metric, who posted a GREAT objective write-up in '07 stating only qualified observations, asking if his opinion was still the same since then.

So to all of you who responded here. Do you use them? Yes/no will be as much information as required, logically!

The bar ends don't reduce vibration but they do make pretty good sliders. The DynaBeads are supposed to be able to cure cancer if you wear them around your neck 24 hours a day, but they will not cure anything if you put them inside your tires.
