I've been doing some searching but would like some current opinions. I've been thinking of installing some heavier bar ends.

Is anyone using them? Do we need them? Do you notice any change/improvement??

Yeah! They do make a BIG difference. If you don't have a Throttle Miester yet, Get it!! You will kill two very big birds with a very little stone! :clapping:

As majicmaker said, the Throttlemeister takes care two issues, but it's a pricey thing and some folks don't like the way the throttle lock operates. I've had them and like them, but that's just me. They are nice, big weights anyway.

I currently have Manic Salamander weights on the FJR. Well-made, easy to install, effective, nice looking. If you don't want the throttle lock feature, these are the way to go.

I have Manic Salamander with throttle lock? Works well since taking 1 wrap out of the throttle return spring!

I'm running Manic Salamader Smooth Pounders, I like them.

I bought the top gun bar ends from FJRGoodies and didn't like them. As soon as I installed them the bars started vibrating very badly which hadn't happened with the stock bar ends.

I had them on less than 12 hours and sold them to somebody here on the forum.

I had pretty much the same issue. i wont say that it made the problem that much worse, but it didnt seem to make the problem any better. I got rid of them after about a week. Same thing with the throttle meister.

+1 Manic Salamander. Looks great, reduces vibs, and the throttle lock is a cool option which I installed last week.

Throttlemeisters for me. Only regret is I should have gotten the grooved ones. Smooth aluminum tends to slide very easy in the gloves rather than lock in place. Got the heavier ones and did notice some vibe reduction.

+1 on Throttlemeister. Have the heavy standards and they did knock down the vibes quite a bit. Looks good too.
