Ok, So I followed the procedure carefully and was successful in getting the pin out of the connector and moved to pin 25. Wasn’t all that hard really. I used a small Allen wrench that just fit into an open connect hole and it pushed the pin and the plug out without any effort at all.

I tried +5 across the board (I tend to be conservative on these things). I’m not looking for more power (don’t use what I have now). I’m looking to smooth things out a low throttle / low RPM. Did provide some improvement but I also picked up a free-rev miss-fire that was not present before the adjustment. Very strange. Yes I did double check to see if I went the right direction.

Well went back, and backed it down to +4 on each.

Here is my real question, when I get the right setting figure out, can I reverse the wire change at the ECU and expect the adjustment to stick?

Anyone know the answer to this question?

Thanks

Weekender, if you want to undo the jumper, go ahead - but I haven't heard of anyone reversing the jumper after the CO mode was corrected. It shouldn't make any difference, so if you're really into pulling panels, go ahead.

It's my understanding that the CO mode is available in euro spec bikes as delivered. I don't see any reason to undo it.

I did the Barbarian and CO mods. today on my '06 with Kaitsdad's assistance.........

Just my 2 lincoln's, but try the +7 because it felt good by my seat of the pants testing.

The only reason I would do this is as insurance against my dealer claiming I've voided the warranty. I work in the wholesale car industry for a major manufacturer. I can guarantee that if we found a customer had made this kind of modification to one of our vehicles, they would get little warranty support on any issue that might arise on a related systems.
