How does it lock up the helmet? I see pics but I`m tired and don`t see how it works. Ok with modular helmets?
It locks through the D ring. I would gather that it would not work with a quick release. On the website the link to the Rider Magazine article seem helpful.. Better if you can pick up last months issue as it has some pics (...if I recall). That's were I first saw them.

Hope this helps. The folks at BarEnder are very helpful and responsive if you have additional, more detailed Q's...

...may be BUNGIE or N2osx will chime in to help, or you could PM them.

OK, read the article, makes sense now, not for modulars with the quick release. Thanks

2-This needle in side goes in and

3-Locks the ball bearing to the out / locked position.

So, Recap. 1-You put the key in, turn, then the lock pops out. 2-Pull off the Bar ender slide your "D" rings on the stud. 3- Put the bar ender back on and push the lock with your thumb, and then it is lock. I know it goes without saying but you CAN NOT USE THE THROTTLEMIESTER with this

Sorry, cat insisted on being in the pic! He wants to be famous.

Again, thanks for particpating in the Buy !

Alright...

I have been thinking about these since you posted it up, And i just gotta have them!

BE-6C please

Only shipped in the US of A
I could never figure that out. Especially something that will be shipped USPS anyway. I can't tell you the number of companies that didn't make a sale to me because of that. Even worse are the ones that will ship to Canada (USPS) but the shipping price is triple for the same level service!

Kudos to the brand-newbie FJR owner/forum member who takes this on right off the bat. WTG, Sierra. I decided I had enough damn keys on my ring, myself, plus I've got one of those $75 heads so I decided not to spend the value of another $75 helmet to lock it up. Still, thanks.

Order placed! :clapping:

Thanks Sierra for organizing this Group buy. :drinks:

From Larry Wilson @ BarEnder

Adam,I managed to get your order today and regretfully it will delayed a couple of days because we have lost power from Monday morning at 7:30 am until approx. Wednesday at 12 midnight according to Georgia Power. We have had some really bad winds with a lot of trees going down. I am answering this from the local library. We expect to be back up on Thursday if the power company is right about their service date. We do not have power , internet, phone, or heat at this time. If you have any questions or this is a problem you can call me on my cell phone 770-xxx-xxxx. If you would pass this info on to the forum members I would appreciate it. We will get your order out as soon as we are back up and running, and any other orders we get in the meantime. Thanks for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

Galaxy, Thanks for the update. Larry seems to be one heck of a stand up guy. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. I am tremendously pleased with his service and communication on this Buy. I wish they made more stuff that I could add to the Farkle list.

BarEnder.Com Helmet Lock Solution
Logo4.gif

BarEnder by Wilhosch,LLC offers a product that is an elegant solution to the FJR issue of no external means to lock your expensive lid while you are away.
mybikes%20009b.jpg
mybikes%20001b.jpg

Their product replaces your current bar ends with shiney new bar weights that double as helment locks. These locks help eliminate unwanted vibration, but also give you a spiffy way to lock up 1 or 2 helmets (depending on the product you choose). No more stolen, kicked or melted helmets.

They have recently received a positive write up in Rider Magazine.

Take a look at their website: BarEnder.com for more information.

The fine folks at BarEnder.com have agreed to provide a 10% discount to the first 15 members from FJRForum that order per this group buy. They will provide me a discount code that I will provide via PM to the first 15 people that commit to buying on the group buy. I will provide that list of screen names to my contact at BarEnders to use as a double check. Orders will be placed directly with BarEnders.com.

The limitations are as follow:

- 10% Discount is good for one "item" of BarEnders.com offering per person: (ie. Single, Single with Dummy or Dual). Additional items will be at regular cost.

- Discount is limited to FJRForum Members only. (please do not share or post the discount code with others)

- Orders are for shipment in the Continental US only.

- Normal Shipping charges and any applicable taxes will apply.

- This Discount will expire after the first 15 have placed their orders or on April 30th, whichever comes first.

If you are interested in taking advantage of the buy, please reply to this post. (No PMs Please) This post will be the official and only method I will use to determine sequence and Group Buy cut off. Please indicate in your reply that YES...you would like to purchase. I will monitor and maintain the list as well as PM you the discount code and transmit the verification to my contact at BarEnder.com. You will be responsible for completing the transaction directly with www.Barender.com before April 30th.

Please note: I do not have the authority to extend the quantity nor the time frame so if you want one of these for your FJR or other bike, please act accordingly.

I'm in, but I'm still confused do I need the:

BE-6A Lock Only = $ 43.68 Regular Price

or

BE-6B Lock with Dummy End No Shaft = $ 62.35 Regular Price

The Website doesn't really explan.

Thanks

If you choose the single lock option, You will need the dummy end for the other side to match.

Not really sure why they sell just the lock end... unless it's for the people who ordered the dummy and then later changed their minds. :dntknw:

Either way, Welcome to the list. Your PM from SierraFJR will arrive shortly
