I assume you mean a battery charger plugged into the wall trying to charge the battery through the glove outlet of your '06?

If so, I think that sucker is relayed and not on when the switch is off. Also, it's a 3 amp fuse.

This has been discussed before here, I think your answer will come down to a hard wired battery tender cable or (what I do) powerlet.

Works like a champ for charging and double duty for other tasks without that 3 amp limit.
