335 miles R/T (75 or so in the Oakland hills) and JB's ride was a good time with great folks! Hycle got the award for the longest hike up the side of a mountain to set up a photo (we had 911 already punched into the phone for ya!) I'll dispense with the blow by blow and let the camera do the talking, which ran low on batteries way too soon. Hope to see other pics as there were plenty of cameras clicking. https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w20/caj...9BayArea001.jpg https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w20/caj...9BayArea003.jpg https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w20/caj...9BayArea004.jpg Oakland and SF skyline https://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w20/caj...9BayArea006.jpg Capt. What a great day! A nice, easy ride through the Oakland & Berkeley Hills, fun twisty roads and fun people to share the adventure with.

:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Pretty good food, too....once we got the parking straightened out (Parking in a "Loading Zone" could be expensive and ruin one's day!).

Thanks for setting this up, JB. Yew dun gude! :clapping:

After lunch in Berkeley we rode back through the University and headed North through the hills above Orinda and El Cerrito, around Briones Regional Park

We stopped at a Valero to say our farewells. Everyone headed for home. Here are Dave Mig and CAJW patiently waiting for everyone else to suit up and seat up.

Dave Mig, CAJW, Hycle and I rode East on Hwy 4. Two headed for the Central Valley, Hycle and I rode over the Antioch Bridge and stopped in Rio Vista for ice cream. Of course! After our "dessert stop" I headed through the delta home.

First, I rode over the Rio Vista ferry. The current was a little strong so they were approaching at a strange angle.

On the other side of the river I saw a sailboat fighting the incoming current (Rio Vista Bridge in the background)

What a great way to spend Labor Day Sunday: Fun roads, lovely scenery and great people.

Too bad the rest of you weren't with us (especially Barb).

Thanks all for coming down to my patch to play motorcycles with me. It was great to connect with friends and make new ones over our shared passion. See you all on the next one!

JB

I took a few pictures when we stopped at the wall.

I took a few more by climbing up the ridge where I could see Vallejo to the north.

Then on the way home MM2 made me stop for Ice Cream.

Here is a link to the pictures. Linky click here
