BBG 1500 Quali Question

I was going to e-mail the IBA folks this question but given its nearly the weekend not sure I will get a response in time.

I completed my SS1000 about a month ago and am now waiting for official certification from IBA.

I have an opportunity to attempt a BBG1500 this weekend but obviously won't have my "official" SS1000 certification in time.

So here is the question:

Given IBA rules require you to have completed an SS1000 prior to completion of BBG1500, without my technical certification, am I in violaion of said rules? Or would they assess certification of my BBG1500 attempt after they (presumably) grant me certification for my SS1000, regardless?

Appreciate anyone's wisdom on the matter.

Congrats on the SS1k ! If you wanna do a BBG, do a BBG. If they don't like it they don't like it, but you'll have done it & that's what counts ! Of course, make sure you do all the paperwork correctly & get two people at each end that will verify for you.

It takes 2 to 3 months to get your cert back. In the scheme of things, your ss1k will probably be accepted unless you really messed something up. That means (time wise) your BBG would be in the proper order and would probably not be dimissed out of hand.

No one can answer that question with authority other than an authority. Ira's your P.O.C. in this case.

It takes 2 to 3 months to get your cert back.

I did an SS1000 in late May. Paperwork mailed very soon afterward in early June. Still nothing. I expect at this time of year its more like 4-5 month wait. Just have to be patient.
