BBG Trifecta+

I riding in the Poison rally and since I live 2800+ miles from Ely I thought it would be a good idea to use the ride to Ely for a ride I have been working on for over a year. I decided to attempt another BBG Trifecta+. I have already certified 2 BBG Trifecta's and I have certified a total 21 BBG's so I have some experience with a ride like this.

My good friend Tim Masterson is going to be posting updates on his blog during the ride and he is going to be my witness in Junction during the ride. We will post a link to his blog soon and it will have my SPOT tracking there also.

My plan right now is to start my ride June 14th at 2:00 AM my time ( south Florida ) and ride until I can't ride no more.

First BBG: Home to Junction, TX by way of Jacksonville, I-95 to I-10

Second BBG: Junction to Tucson and back to Junction, all I-10

Third BBG: Same as second BBG, Junction to Tucson and back to Junction, all I-10

After that I still need to get to Ely, NV so I am planning on riding to Ely by way of Albuquerque and Las Vegas.

This is going to be an extremely hard ride and the hot weather ( 100+ everyday ) will only make it harder. These BBG's will add to my goal of certifying 30+ BBG's someday.

I gotta see what this old man and the wing can do before I try and ride with the Cognoscente group.

Ok, looks like I could not talk my self out of this ride ( a 3 day visit to Las Vegas instead does sound nice ) so I will be starting at 2:00 AM EDT this Saturday, June 14, 2014.

Greg's spot tracker is showing him safely parked at the gas station in Ely, NV after finishing his BBG x 4 with about 2.5 hours to spare.

I just landed in Ely finishing a new IBA ride, BBG Quattro Gold ( 4 BBG's ). Wow, what a ride. More tomorrow got to get a shower, eat real food and go to the Hotel Nevada casino for some fun.
