Don, you could have picked a less painful way to ruin my day. Sill wishing you the best.

Talk about living closer to him than anyone on here and being completely in the dark. I was out doing a street ride with other AZBeemers when Don had his get-off and I never looked at the forum until now so this was a shocker to me. That sucks big-time! I'm at work for the evening so I'll have to go visit him tomorrow, if they're letting friends in yet.

Don, my friend, crashing sucks big time. Three months should be enough time to recover for the SW-FOG rally, just be nice to the nurses and they will take extra good care of you.

heal well amigo.stupid dirt.lol.I got room for you and miss donna on the pontoon.

Here's the latest post from Bob Flanders of AZBeemers and our own FJR Forum. His shoulder surgery is supposed to be tomorrow so I'll wait until after then to go visit.

Here is what Bob Flanders had posted on AZB:

Uri and I visited with Don And Donna today at the Hospital. He's in pretty good spirits considering...Still in a lot of pain from his shoulder injury. Surgery tomorrow to replace the shoulder. Hopefully some pain relief once the shoulder gets stabilized. Also will get his knee wound closed at the time of surgery. Knee injury repaired yesteday, but wound left open to help prevent infection from gravel and other debris contamination at the tme of injury. Lots of PT in his future....he"s optimistic but most importantly...He' TOUGH! Still needs our support and best wishes....

And this is what Brian Boles (our AZB ex-prez) posted at 4:39 p.m. this afternoon:

Late afternoon update, shoulder surgery pushed until tomorrow.

Darryl and I went to fetch Salma Hyeck. Quite a drive pulling a trailer down that road. Eventually we found the right turnoff and got the bike loaded up. I was figuring I would get to work around noon, it ended up being 4:00PM. Nice scenery though.

The bike is surprisingly undamaged. I think Don saved the bike by jumping underneath of it to protect its fall. As far as I could tell, the only damage is a cracked windscreen. Didn't even see any scrapes on the crash bars.

Gotta love Brian's last line. Don - the sacrificial lamb; diving under the bike to save it.

All jokes aside (but everyone knows here, he deserves every last one of them), hope his shoulder surgery goes well tomorrow.

I believe it was right shoulder, right knee.

Yes after a new Titanium shoulder is installed, he'll be able to dive onto that side at every get-off, to save himself.
