i tried to outfox the system, and the system bit me...

since i think there are several business people on this forum... and since, to my knowledge promotional cell phones are frequently given out, i am hoping to beg, grovel, or cajole a kind soul to part, for mere pennies on the dollar, with an extra unlocked nokia cell phone they might have... i have a valid sim for the phone...

My choice of nokia is because they most all have infared ports, and I can transfer files and back-up phone numbers via my notebook computer… geek, I know…

the ‘back story’:

i like the terms of my 'old' plan, i've got 325.00 bucks sunk into a sophisticated phone (memory expanded to 1 gig!!!, all the latest bells and whistles!!!) that is now a simple, quiet, paperweight (THUD)… also, i'm in school and a tad short of funds for big ticket, to me, purchases....

i was with the 'old' att cellular, then cingular bought att... when i needed a new phone, instead of giving up my att plan for a 'free' cingular phone, i bought an unlocked nokia from an internet vendor (30 day warranty), and put my att sim in the phone... all was great for a few months, when a phone failure forces me to read the fine print on my new phone warranty, that states the warranty is valid only in the intended locals of use (asia and europe in this case).

nokia usa won't fix the phone because the cell carriers preempted my repair looooog ago by making only carrier sold phones available in the usa... nokia europe/asia won't fix the phone because i did not physically buy the phone in a country the phone was designed to be sold in... as I see it, long term nokia customer loyalty means free coffee, if you give them 5 bucks, first…

please pm me, and thank you in advance for your consideration…
