I've found a set of Beowulf exhaust slip-ons locally. When swapping exhaust cans, is it required to get a power commander to adjust the mapping due to the change in air flow?

I just put them on and have run them for 30k.

Your mileage will suffer, though. You tend to wring it out more. Sweeeettttt.

I have heard several different FJRs with aftermarket exhaust, including my own. I still think YummYam's with the

Beowulfs sounds the best. Hard to explain but it seems to have a deeper more pleasant tone.

I have the Beowulfs' on my '03 and love the sound. Really like the option of removable baffles as well, although I'm not sure it makes a huge difference.

Even the local Yamaha dealer loved the exhaust note of them.

Agree with danh600 on the sound.

I got the same ones. Haven't tried them without the baffles yet. Bike sounds like a motorcycle now instead of a Toyota ;)
