Best of fun, smiles, giggles, and great miles to all riders doing the LowCal250 Saturday.

I was there for the maiden kick-off of this awesome event and sure wish I could be there with ya in the morning.

No doubt they'll be some good stories and pictures from this event ....and many of us will be eager to hear of the fun.

If any of ya's are running spot or even better SpotWalla, and if you don't mind having your fun shared ...throw me your link and I'll put together a page showing all of your maps. A fun way for others to live your fun vicariously.

...and remember, nothing happens until you twist the throttle.

jealous in Reno ...John

somewhat off-topic, but what's the difference between a regular SPOT shared page and SpotWalla?

SPOT with it's shared page is a silly little gadget.

SPOT with Jason Jonas' SpotWalla is a very powerful and flexible tool.

The functionality of SpotWalla is sooo far superior, especially when it comes to sharing your routes. This application was designed and is currently maintained, all at no charge to users by a motorcycle enthusiast and LD rider.

42 riders secured their packets this morning... 42 riders completed the optional odometer check...

Maybe, at 4,114 points it didn't look so optional!!

The hook this year was the 250 mile cap... 250 miles in 8-hours sounds easy... we'll see what the pack says upon their return...

well the 3 amigos..aka dj bill, fairlainer, and mcride finished tied for 6th place out of 42.not bad for our 1st rally.lots of options.i rolled in at 249.5 miles and 5 mins left on the 8 hour clock.

richard will post some durogatory pics.

Thanks to all of the community for the support - this year and those previous.

The top scoring riders put together some impressive routes in the brief time they had to plan this morning:

Jacob Langford - 14761

Eddie Frowiss - 14576

Mike Langford - 14463

Jon Good & Andree Bergman - 14429

Brian Casey - 13341

Special thanks to Gary Orr and the staff at San Diego BMW Motorcycles, and Ken Meese who answered the call to duty as RM for 2010 and pulled us up another notch.

42 was the ultimate answer to life, the universe and everything, at least for today. Great group of 42 motorbikes!!

(I'm counting the scooter as a motorbike...)

6 out of the top ten scoring motorcycles were FJR1300's... including the 2nd place couple (Neil San Diego)
