Cherished FJR Forum reader, my apologies in advance.

My plans for a WCR posting included revealing and lascivious pictures, embarrassing moments, things taken well out of context, snarky comments, and the standard witty banter. Exactly why you, cherished forum reader, customarily forsake the many good books otherwise available to you free of charge at your local library, and night after night, feast instead on the various table scraps that your fellow mates choose to grace you with at this fine forum.

You can therefore imagine my horror when, upon my arrival home after 500 or so longish miles, the last spent creeping along I90 traffic whilst a humid drizzle coated Niehart and I, I took a peek at the photos on my SD card, and realized what I had captured on silicon fell far short of the usual Hudson standards. Rather than besmirch my hard won reputation, I've decided to let the photos speak for themselves.

WARNING: They show a group of people from all walks of life, gathering from afar and (gasp!) generally enjoying each other's company. I know, I know...and trust me, I want to puke right alongside with you. And I know full well this forum is not the ******* Hallmark channel.

But this is what I shot.

So the bile in my throat continues to want to rise as I look at these images. I distinctly recall booze, cigars, innuendo, double-entendres, and general ***-hattery occurring not once, but practically all nights of WCR. But it's like my camera is stuck on the Bravo channel, where everything is all friendly like and supportive.

How is it possible I can only find dreck like this:

Here's some context. That there is no soup kitchen. Nope, that's genyouwine chili made up by one Missus Fast Joy Ride who along with her mate decides she's gonna feed all us miserable sons of beeches at...stay with me...their fancy new beach digs!!! Would you invite a festering pack of feckless fjr riders into your household? Exactly, me neither.

Here's where it gets just downright pathetic. Seems Barb has a new squeeze, Norm. I know some of you (and by "some" I'm really just looking right at you, Beemerdons) are gonna take that news might hard, since it will put a general cramp on your habit of gazing at Barb's ****s while chatting her up. Well, Norms a big badass lumberjackish Canadian, so your gonna wanna clean up your act from here on out, eh?

Anywhoo, it so happens that Norm's birthday is nigh, so Fairlaner...yes...Fairlaner...and crew goes and gets Norm a cake. And suddenly, here we are all are like some feckin Walton's episode singing Happy Birthday to Norm, while he blows out the candles and makes some kinda wish.

Not content to just eat our cake and be done with it, someone decides we also have to head down do the beach, start a bonfire, and spend the night getting to know new friends and old. Kumbayah, Popeye, kumbayah. And it's not like the view is any better than our hotel parking lot...

So I fully understand, Cherished FJR Forum reader, if you've left this sorry excuse for a post by now to go search for some alcohol to help compensate for this pathetic buzzkill. I'm certainly well into my third drink.

I did manage to get only a few pix more to the custom and style here, so all was not totally lost. Here's some nice shots of Barb doing her "Larry, Moe, and **** You" imitations:

I can also report that some general lowbrow snickering occurred care of the menu at the local pub:

You always know Steve-O is good for a fun photo or two:

I learnt that Sir Richard travels with more dress shoes than does his very sweet wife.

FastJoyRide has this eclectic and somewhat disturbing love of new age crystals:

And even this gem below stumped me for a caption:

I know, I know, it's weak and not what you've come to expect. Let's just blame it on the rain and I'll do my best to salvage this, and try to make up for my overall lack of inspiration by going for the easy base hit with some food **** and pie pix.

Cheap shot, yes, but I knows you guys are a pretty pavlovian lot, and will probably forget this debacle right about the lemon meringue, which is where I'll quietly slip out the back door of the forum and make my getaway...but first the obligatory cherry on this crap sundae with a thanks to everyone, specially Dave and Silvia, for making this WCR most enjoyable and all the terrific rides and company. PSA complete now, and I promise this won't happen again...till next year.

Thanks for this Dave.

It was great meeting you and the others. Listening to first-hand accounts of rides I have yet to do and the free advice offered was priceless.

Al.

That is one feckin awful ride report there.

Brought a tear to my eye dammit. (cuz I did't show up)

Seriously now....that is how RRs are supposed to be around here dangit...and why I have retired from that sort of tomfoolery.

Great Stuff!

BTW, in the first photo, is Piemaster, scrolling through his prescription drug list...or the list of locations of the nearest pie store?

Your humor is drier than the weather apparently was ...

Thank you for sharing ... and where's my slice of pie ?

Pie stores but my damn Samsung G3 quit working at the border.

What can I say? Hudson ( great riding with ya) covered it all. Lots of water, lots of great roads [no animals killed, no tickets written], lots of great folks [ old friends and new friends], one awesome home and owners, lots of laughter, and best of all, lots of pie!

I did keep looking over my shoulder for the rest of my Pacific Northwet crew.

Will see you folks in August 2014 on Vancouver Island!
