Hmm, mount TWO 20mm gatlings, one on each side of the bike, and they can also serve as tip-over guards. Getting the most functionality of each farkle is a key to rallying success, I'm lead to understand...Seriously, all the positive thoughts and emotions from this crowd (myself included) toward getting you back to whole must be overwhelming! Stay strong, get better, maybe consider cow (sheep) catcher or 20mm gatling on the next ride?
Yep, that's what I did and it worked great. It heals faster and you gain instant mobility.Matt, don't stress the surgery for the clavicle. VERY few broken clavicles heal correctly without intervention. You will actually heal faster by them putting a plate over it and pinning it.
Continue to take it easy, and let stuff heal. You're on the right path.
Later...
+ 2Thanks for the update Matt. Glad you're able to write about it, and can start another bike build from scratch this fall.

Injury + Insult = ouch!Have you got the Bill for the two sheep you killed yet?
Normal rule in Wyoming is that you have to pay for any livestock you kill with a vehicle, and the owner gets to keep the dead stock.
Yes, I believe they'll be part of the insurance settlement process.Injury + Insult = ouch!Have you got the Bill for the two sheep you killed yet?

I bet it's covered as liability.
In TX there are Farm-To-Market roads. They are marked FMxxx. They were established for just the reason it seems. If you kill livestock on one of those roads you aren't just liable for the current market value of the animal but for all lost potential income from said animal. An example would be the value of all potential milk sold from a killed milk cow. So ValueOfAnimal+LostPotential.Have you got the Bill for the two sheep you killed yet?

Small bit of trivia. About a year after I got my c5,c6,c7 vertebral fusion using donor bone, they uncovered that a clearing house for this material was found to not be properly radiating the bone to insure it wasn't carrying anything with it from the donor. Turns out that clearing house is who my neurosurgeon used. He didn't know and it was too late for me. Wait 7 years to see if I got anything nasty and, other than a bad attitude...Back on topic. Fearless Leader: Hope the surgery goes well -- seriously; and -- less seriously -- if they use cadaver bone matter for the graft, get assurances that it's not from a zombie.
And if anybody is curious what a helicopter cost to ride about 40 miles? $45K!
That certainly brightened my day.Casket rides cost money too...but they do nothing to save the occupant.
