Greetings,

Well today marked a turning point in my recovery.

11 admissions in 11 months, but slowly improving now, all Crohns related.

Bought a Spyder RT-S Limited, quite nice.

It's been over 11 months without wearing a helmet, was going to blow my brains out, stir crazy.

So today I did it, took delivery and went to the Chemist this afternoon via a 40 km detour, lol.

I figging did it, happy as a pig in poo.

Sounds good to me.

Images could do with a little help, though :( .

Great news on the recovery and good news on the new ride !!

I have heard from unnamed sources that you liked to through the FJR around hard into the corners.....

If I may be so bold ....when you start to get familiar with the new wheels Sir Ken, no wheel stands for the first 1000 kms or so.......

Take care and all the best

Rick

Thanks Gents,

Just so nice to get some freedom back, to don a helmet and jacket again.

Considering I nearly ended up on the stainless table 4 weeks ago.

The Spyder is a somewhat different type of bike, I've kind of "learnt it" within my first ride.

Just got to bulk myself up & put on 30+ kgs, put some meat on my bones before I start to ride 2 wheels again.

The nurses have to use a children's BP cuff on my arms when checking my blood pressure.

Will be a few months even before I think about riding the FJR again.

I'm still quite frail.

All my other bikes have been fully serviced and start fine.

Today will be interesting !

Having a small group of FJR and Spyder riders meet up at my place to escort me for a longer ride.

Hi Ken

Hope the Crohn's backs off enough for you to put on a few pounds and get out to do some riding! Perhaps the Spider will help with at least the mental therapy!

Congrats on the Spyder, Ken...... so now you really are Spiderman, EH!

Continued good wishes for your health to keep improving.
