I will be contacting the gal in charge of the swim team tomorow and see if they can have some kids hang out Friday and Saturday. I am thinking from maybe 10am to 3pm. I hope we can get enough interest to do some good.

Looks like you folks want dirty bikes. Not that a dirty is a bad thing. I was hoping to be able to help the kids and have some fun.

I will let this run for a couple more days and if it doesn't look good I will shut it down. Don't need bored kids sitting around with nothing to do. Maybe we can get the hotel to give us a bucket and some rags.

Count me in. Friday I'm riding all day, but Saturday would be just fine for the kids to clean my bike.

I'm not that anal about it, as long as it's cleaner than when they started. It's the chance for fund raising that is at stake here.

Translation... $10 is just the suggested minimum.

Bumping this to the top one more time. Lets do as moch as we can to help these kids. A lot of school have gone to the pay for play for sports and it puts a real burden on the parents.

I am having to trailer my bike because my wife isnt well enough to ride yet so I will have the bike and the car washed. There will be a donation jar at check in for those that don't want a wash but want to help out.

Lets do a good thing here. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

FJRay, I'll certainly donate to the kids! But, is there a chance they can be there early in the morning or even evening time?

I plan to take advantage of many of the ride opportunites that Ignacio-Matt has posted and will be riding 9-5 those two days.

If they were set up to M/C wash from 0800-0900 or 1700-1800 I could get Lucy washed. I'll add to donation jar regardless!!

Thats a good point Don. I will be talking to them today sometime and see about making those changes. Its going to be hot so late afternoon to early evening makes sense. I don't know how early we could get them moving.

I'm all for helping the kids out with a donation, but not interested in a bike wash. Not that my bike is clean, just that I don't believe in hosing things down very often.

FJRay, Definitely count Miss Lucy Liu in for an early evening wash Saturday. Perhaps they can rub out any scuff marks when SkooterGreggie bangs his right saddlebag against my left one at 80 mph. Don't laugh anybody, this has happened!!

I'll let them lightly wash PussyKat down and pat her dry until she purrs.... I'll bring a couple plastic bags to plug the exhausts and cover a couple farkles. They can't scratch her more than she is in places (not that I think they would). I'll be leaving really early Saturday for Montana though. If I'm not there put a donation can somewhere conspicuous and I'll give.
