Biketoberfest is almost upon us...

My son's last scheduled football game is Saturday . We were thinking about scooting down on Sunday.

Next question: where? I'm partial to the seafood place next to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, but that's kinda out of the way in terms of where the action is.

Ohhh, that sounds good! "Down the Hatch" or "Inlet Harbor Inn" both are good! Plus not many tourists know about them so shouldn't be hard to get in! Good food, went about a month ago! You can sit outside next to the water too! Check 'em out! They're not that far out of the way!

I don't think I'll be able to make it as going back to the inlet put a really bad taste in my mouth.

You see, during this past bike week I was in Daytona with my wife and she asked me to go see the Lighthouse at Ponce Inlet

As we were leaving there is a stop sign I believe at the intersection of Beach St & Atlantic. I slowed down (almost to zero miles), looked in all directions, but did not put my foot down...

A cop was hidding about a block west on Bch St and you guessed it, he gave me a ticket...

But what really stinks and should proof this is not a bike friendly area is that minutes later I saw a truck (probably a local) do the same thing (slow down but did not fully stopped) and the cop did nothing... and that really PMO...

So hope you guys enjoy the food but be warned...

Sorry fellas. I would really like to go, but will be getting back from a week in Napa on Friday, so this would not be possible. Also, I am then going up to GA/NC/TN the following Thursday for four days of fall riding, and I just cannot permit that many miles to accrue at that time. Bike would probably go into shock if so...
