Biketoberfest is almost upon us...

Yeah...I pussed out.
Got up at 7am to get ready...raining like a *****.

8am...raining like a *****.

9am...raining like a *****. This is when I decided to not even bother any more.

5pm....just woke up. Slept the whole damn day away.

Like I said...I pussed out.

Yeah, we were looking for ya! Rain does take the fun out of it! We'll do another one and Ben and you better show up! lol

Just got home. Weather was great, food was good, people were even better. It was nice to meet everyone today, hope everyone makes it home safe. Down the hatch was the perfect meeting place. Nice to be off the main drag for once. Some of you were tossing around other places you thought were good. Sounds like there might be another meet and greet in the works? If so I’m in.

Well you guys missed it! Didn't rain a bit, sun even came out! We just got home. 6 of us, 7 counting Brenda, showed up! Bunch of good guys for sure! After we got done eating (peel & eat shrimp for me Ben) we went to the track and a few of the guys had test rides scheduled. We walked around and just had a good time! I got a few pics I'll put up later! Like I said, you guys missed it!

I also got scared off from the weather report..."expect 1/2 inch of rainfall along the I-4 corridor". So I said screw that I am not going riding in rain. Well it never did rain so by 2 pm I went riding to Brooksville and that area. Never did rain the whole time. Will have to arrange another trip.

I had to work but glad you all had a good meet. Did see some good racing Sunday though, but got wet.

It was nice to meet you all. We'll have to do it again soon so I can meet the rest of the crew.

For any of you that may be interested, that afternoon Dan and I were able to demo the new Concours...

Sometimes you get lucky and get a good guide - well we did and were really flying on that thing... I really enjoyed that demo. :yahoo:

The bike is really stable at speed and in the few curves that we found. It has very nice power but I still like like the looks and comfort of the FJR.

Sunday we packed the camping gear and headed south. I made it home ~4pm. It was a good ride home but with a few showers here and there - at least we kept cool.

Sorry I missed the round-up! Left Tallahassee about 9:00 Friday morning, got checked in to a hotel in Sanford about 2:00 and hooked up with my brother who rode over from Tampa. About 5:30 the wife called and told me the ambulance was on the way to the house to take my son in because he was in a coma. Pre-existing medical condition, not the first time for this occurrence. Anyway, repacked and headed back home about 7:00 pm, got to the hospital about 12:30 am as they were starting the first operation. Got out about 4:00 am and slept a little, went back to the hospital and they operated again on Saturday evening. Long bad day, long week, but all is well now as my son is back home and recovering well. I'll keep any eye out for the next event!
