Reminds me, a little, of John Britten ("A man and his lathe against the world"). Yet, certainly, different.I'd say the project's doomed (racing success perspective) from what Phil Vincent used to refer to as " First Principles". Mainly -- geared cranks. Power robbers. Nice idea for road bikes, tho.

Still, an interesting story..... :)
I mentioned the comparison to Britten in another post - you're right on.

It's very funny that you mention Phil Vincent. Was just reading a reference to him in an article today and a lot of the same thoughts and principals are similar.

I've thought about that specific criticism. It seems like there's a big "Yes, but . . ."

Everything is a trade-off. Everything I've read says the bike has absolutely zero vibration, is incredibly slim, can be flicked unlike any liter bike, can be put anywhere the rider wants and will hold a line with zero effort. What would you trade for that? 1 hp? 5 hp? Assuming there is a real world power difference between the C-1 and the Ben Spies bike, and there may not be, what would it be worth? For some riders, maybe it makes no difference. Their riding style wouldn't be able to use the differences. But someone else could and would.

It's ll about tradeoffs.

Saw this article on some testing with the Honda team https://www.motoczysz.com/main.php?area=new...eturn_path=home
DAMN!! And I mean that both business-wise and motorcycle-wise. DAMN!!
Sounds like Michael Csysz is hoping to partner with Honda.... He needs the money from what I can gather and Honda definately had it. they would probably cut hims some independence in exchance for allowing them to market his technology. IMO but I am just a sceintist, i know nothing about business. :)
