I attended but in my car, I met fairlainer, skooter and 03silverbullet, I paid Nearly $8 dollars for a hot dog, I felt like a wuss for not riding over on my own bike but I didnt have a sweater. Hope that excuse flies. DR

Yes Joe was there with Valerie of course, was good to see everyone, Skooter and I got home about 2am.

Was a very cold evening but no rain......

Who all made the ride?
I did. 600 miles there, 400 miles home. Not a drop of rain fell on me south of Kettleman City the entire weekend. The Grapevine was clear and dry both times I crossed it. And BikerChick (Lori M) made it down from Orygun. She was the only PNW rider with enough stones to make that ride.

More complete report later.

Got rained on from Palm Springs to L.A., but dry in L.A. through the night. Visited with family and friends, then went to Pink's. Fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Had the "Millenium Dog" and still paying for it ;-). Rode back to AZ that night, lots of wind but hardly any rain.

Yeah, I had the Millenium dog last year, took me about a day, and half a bottle of Tums to deal with that one. Had a Shrek dog this time, very mild, no residual effects. And a creme soda, and an order of rings.

Turbo looked really good - we canceled the escort as he opted to take his cage, he simply couldn't afford to risk becoming wet and cold. Pneumonia would not be a good thing at this point. There will be a future "first ride" to celebrate his stubbornness and refusal to let something as simple as cardiac surgery and a stroke get him down.

Lots of peeps there - I won't even attempt to list them, but suffice to say, it was great seeing everyone, many of who I haven't seen since last November. And I got a hug from Heidi, so my evening was complete.

Oh yeah - not a drop of rain there and back. Granted, my round trip was about 75 miles, but still.......

It was a cold and rainy day in Southern California, but that didn't stop 30 or so long distance riders from coming to Pink's for the annual hot dog fest at Pink's. Many riders had planned to come but were not interested in possible snow over the passes. Quite a few folks were drenched on the I-10 corridor east of town, but LA itself was clear and dry on Saturday night. I had beautiful conditions over the Grapevine that night, and also the next morning going home.
