Black Cherry Color

I have the opportunity to buy a 07 and was wondering about the color in the sunlight? Does it look purple or red? I'm going to see it on Friday and it's cloudy as can be here. I had the 06 blue and loved it and am hoping to like the red as well. Anyone have any photos they could post? I did do a search but did not find much.

Don't mean to be a smart aleck, but in the sun, iit looks like a black cherry in color. It seems to me that several photos have been posted. You might try searching various threads. I seem to remember one concerning exhaust.

Mine looks Red! Even redder in sunlight and you see the metalic.

No offense, but unless viewed with a calibrated monitor there's no way to know that he's seeing the same colors that you're seeing on your monitor. I've seen some drastic differences in colors between monitors.

I agree but still wanted to get opinions on the black cherry in the sunlight...red or purple? Pictures can help even though they might not be perfect especially when coupled with the person's view of things.

I bought it even though I did not "love" the color in the showroom under flourecent lights. Well when I went to pick it up and saw it out in the sun I loved it! I thought it was a different bike. So while every man has an opinion about color, mine is that outside it is a really nice dark red with a lot of metal flake that looks good.

And if they want to sell it to you they should roll it out for you to look it over.

Fair enough - as long as you're not looking for the picture to exactly match reality.

IMHO it's more red than purple with a lot of metal flake that's especially visible in the sun.

I've been a Texas Aggie for 53 years, so I can't understand why none of you think the '07 is MAROON!

Soon as I saw it I had to trade my Silver one and my Blue one for it!
