For those of you who have not been keeping up on this issue -

in a nutshell, the BLM and Department of Interior is working on ways to close as much public land to off road vehicles as possible.

To the point, they refused to provide all of the documents requested under the freedom of information act to the AMA. A TV station in Utah was finally able to get most of the documents. As the AMA said, it reads like a plan to make an end run around congress by having the President designate areas that are currently open to OHV use as national monuments.

here is a copy of the press release issed by the AMA and published on road racing world: https://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=41567

If you don't want more land closed off to public use, ask yourself what you can do. Even if you are not an AMA member sign up for the action alerts so you can add your voice to the opposition to these efforts by the government.
